NSK Expands NSKHPS™ Series of Industrial Machinery High Performance Standard Bearings
Lineup Expanded to Increase Sales
Tokyo, Japan, June 3, 2013 – NSK Ltd. (NSK; Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President and CEO: Norio Otsuka) today announced that it has expanded its NSKHPS lineup of high performance standard bearings for industrial machinery.
This series contributes lower maintenance costs and supports downsizing by the high performance. Standardization also contributes improved availability.
NSK is targeting 80 billion yen in fiscal 2015 for this series.
As the world continues to demand a smaller environmental footprint and greater power savings, industrial machinery is trending toward higher efficiency through downsizing and maximization of equipment capability. In order to achieve this, bearings need to last longer and run at faster speeds and lower torque than ever before.
In response to these demands, NSK leveraged its development design, material and manufacturing technologies to introduce the first product in the NSKHPS series in 2004, a spherical roller bearing. Since then, NSK has continued to expand the size range of its offerings, including angular contact ball bearings in 2009.
To meet the high demand for NSKHPS, NSK has added four new bearing types to expand its lineup to a total of six types for a total of 30,000 varieties of NSKHPS products to match all types of industrial machinery by means of full line up of NSKHPS.
