Tokyo, Japan, July 2, 2008 - NSK Ltd. (NSK; Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President and CEO: Seiichi Asaka) will exhibit at the 7th International Bio EXPO, which is to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from Wednesday, July 2 to Friday, July 4, 2008.
In April of this year, NSK established its Emerging Technology Research Center with the aim of conducting research into emerging technologies and developing new products in areas outside its existing business interests, such as the bearing business, automotive parts business, and precision product business, as well as opening new businesses based on these research and development activities.
Based on NSK's research and development efforts to date, the Emerging Technology Research Center will regard the three research areas of bio-MEMS technology, robotics, and future automobiles as central pillars in its research and development, and promote the exploration of new business opportunities by expanding these research areas and enriching the research content.
As a first step, NSK has completed the development of a number of products that support bio-research, and will exhibit these products at the 7th International Bio EXPO.
