NSK Listed in Major ESG Investment Index “FTSE4Good Index Series” and Indices Adopted by Japan’s Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF)
NSK Ltd. (NSK; Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President and CEO: Akitoshi Ichii) announced today that it has been selected as a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series*1, a globally recognized investment index for ESG and socially responsible investment, for the 22nd consecutive year (since 2003).
In addition, the company has been included in the FTSE Blossom Japan Index*2 for the seventh consecutive year (since 2018) and in the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index*3 (newly established in 2022) for the third consecutive year. Japan’s public pension fund, the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF), references these indices in investment decisions.
Created by the global index and data provider FTSE Russell, these indices are designed to evaluate the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices. Businesses included in these indices meet a variety of ESG criteria.
