NSK presented at VDI Conference in Aachen, Germany “Asking yourself how to reliably conduct current in an oil #environment? Her is the answer: NSK has developed an innovative Axial Conductive Brush, consisting of two sub-assembly parts, which can complementary be used with any insulated bearing, like the NSK plastic overmolded #bearings. This combination is also required to prevent electrical erosion failures at non-insulated bearing positions, especially in case of a circulating current. The essential feature of the #NSK axial conductive brush is the stable function even in oil-lubricated conditions, compared to existing radial brush solutions, which are stable in dry conditions only. In case of not sufficient space available for the Axial Conductive Brush solution, NSK-Warner, a longstanding NSK-joint venture with Borg Warner, is also able to offer an Electrical Bypass Plate (Conductive Paper) solution, which is also based on an axial contact, but not located at the axis center line as it is for the Axial Conductive Brush, the latter with the big advantage of nearly no peripheral speed in the contact area. When interested in the above and our new NSK product, please don't hesitate to contact Dipl.-Ing. Joachim Gößlinghoff from NSK Europe goesslinghoff-j@nsk.com. He is Engineering Manager Powertrain and presented the NSK Axial Conductive Brush at the VDI Tagung Schadensmechanismen an Lagern 2024 in Aachen.
