NSK linear motion products prove perfect for automated assembly processes   On behalf of a customer, a well-known specialist in high-performance automation developed and built a fully automated system that assembles furniture fittings in a cycle time of just 0.6 seconds. The system operates 24/7 and executes around 30 million cycles per year, with the hard working actuators using high-quality NH/NS series linear guides from #NSK.   We have been one of the company’s suppliers for more than 25 years. Today, our NH/NS series high-precision linear guides (standard and custom), miniature linear guides and ball screws are all qualified by the machine builder as house-standard components. Notably, the NSK K1 lubrication unit, which fits to both linear guides and ball screws, is the key component that meets the customer’s primary requirements of long service life and minimal maintenance. New cutting plant will shorten lead times for #NSK linear guides in Europe   European users of NSK’s class-leading linear guides can now take advantage of our new state-of-the-art cutting facility in the Netherlands. Based at our European Distribution Centre in Tilburg, the €1.6 million plant will enhance service levels for customers in key European markets that include Germany, France, Italy and elsewhere.   Although we already have a linear guide cutting facility at our site in Newark, UK (which will continue to serve customers in the UK and Ireland), the addition of Tilburg will help to optimise our service levels for these popular products across mainland Europe. The new ISO9001-accredited plant triples our capacity, ultimately allowing us to output over 1000 pieces a week and meet delivery times of just seven days anywhere in Europe.
