NSK-Warner is developing evolution type One-Way Clutch called Selectable One-Way Clutch(SOWC) as next generation one.
The SOWC has a feature of mode change as rotation-lock, one way direction rotation and free rotation by a selector to contribute less drag torque and spacing in xEV powertrain.
